How was your new year's celebration yesterday? Mine was really posh. And we didn't even pay for any of it!! Ok, I tell a lie, paid for the cab fare. Actually, not even when you think about it. See, Dave got the gig last night as a DJ. So, we gotta mingle with some of the really loaded people of Dubai yesterday night.



I remember welcoming 2007 in Bangkok, comtemplating whether should go out since the news we got after landing was there were bomb blasts in Bangkok!! Remember that time?? Hhhmm...can't believe a year has gone past.



I am now married and no longer flying. I love what I do now.



So, I don't wish to say anything else...got my eye on footie as I am typing this.



I have, however, posted a couple of pictures of last night.

And so that was the end of the annual Dubai Rugby 7s. Held every year for the last 38 years!!! And they wanted that piece of land for housing. What can we do? It is their patch of land.

Ho hum.

Next year will be held on a different ground. Can't wait. I've seen the model. It's very glam.

Anyway, after all that rugby and hot boyz with really hotnezz bodzzz..... it's where everyone went to party!!! I know you ask why didn't I take any pictures with any of them rugby boyz? Well, I tell ya!!

Press Conference

This is the beginning for our future. This is the press conference to tell the whole UAE of Dave's upcoming CD called

"Now that's what I call Hypnosis - The Dave Crane Experience"

This is the most grooviest cd you can ever own to chill out, to boost yourself up and be much more.The cd will be in the market end of this month, according to EMI.Just in time for the Christmas market.

So anyway, the press conference was held at the Radisson SAS Dubai Media City at the Senso Pool Area. Not the typical press conference of just answering questions or explaining what the CD is all about, Dave decided to get all the reporters to actually experience it themselves!!! What a genius!!! That way they write better, through experience.

Happy Birthday!!

It's Dave's birthday today. We didn't go out celebrating as it is a weekday and he's got BNI tomorrow... So basically it was a lazy hanging out at home day. Well, not really. It's his reply all emails day, what he missed out since he was in Bahrain for a gig the last 2 days....

So anyway, woke up late as slept late, make breakie, answered all emails, cleaned up the pc ( still in the process ) and cooked his favourite Thai Green Chicken Curry with veg ( a must ) for lunch-cum-dinner.

I told him to bring the camera down, he forgot. I forgot so...sorry no pictures.

What did he get you asked?

A brand-spanking new laptop, since he accidently poured liquid all over it just before ;ast weekend. And some gadgets. Men and their gadgets.

I think I'm alright with the wifey thing.

If you ask me, the best performance was by Kanye West (pronounced Con-yay). Mika was entertaining too. Joss Stone, she's just a great soul bird. Very shy though, still very I mean VERY young.

Motivational Training - 30th October

At this really cool and funky hotel, for their staff. So right now, I'm busy preparing all the books for them. Not only that, we have to shoot off toFujairah that same evening for Dave's after dinner speech. The good thing, we are going to stay overnight. We are going to be really wiped out to drive back, really....

Bahrain Gig - Speedcar Series

I won't be going there. I have to stay in Dubai to chase up on payments and my visa!!

Oh well, they have another one coming up in Dubai. hehe

OUR BIRTHDAYS!!!

See my birthday is 3 days after Dave's. And this year will be pretty special as it will be our big 0, as in 30th and 40th!!

I thought of having it large.

OOoohhh...I think yesterday was THE BEST DAY OF THIS MONTH!!! ( technically I cannot

say of this year since I got married AND went to Maldives for my honeymoon, so I think this month is good enough)

Let me share my wonderful day....

I got up on my own at 6.30am WITHOUT THE ALARM CLOCK!! Went to the beach with the doggies.... came back home and call my parents since it was EID yesterday!!! Drove all the way to Abu Dhabi as Suzanna's parents are in town for this special occasion. Oh...I had the lovely traditional eid dishes like ketupat, sayor lodeh, sambal goreng, rendang, ayam masak merah, popiah goreng, kuih tart etc mmmm...drooling now..and the best bit, Dave likes them too!!!!

Then we head down to Chelsea Hotel in Dubai to watch England trash Estonia 3-0! Ok, so Estonia was a tad crap and England wasn't that great esp the 2nd half...it was like they were wasting time by passing the ball to one another and "hey if we score a goal yeah if not yeah we've already won!!!" Didn't enjoy footie that much....

Then we headed down to Irish Village...bought the drinkies, got some cushions..and chilled out at the make-shift tent and waited til 10.45 when England scored at less than 2 minutes!!

Seriously, I thought that France would have trashed England easily....Oh well...I thought wrong didn't I????!!!

WE BEAT THE FROGGIES 14-9 AT THEIR OWN BACKYARD!!!

Aaaahhhh.......success....it sure is damn sweet!!!

And we're off to the quarter finals! Which I thought will be against the All Blacks, I mean who wouldn't rite?

That is until we watch the French team fought and won their match against the All Blacks!!

So there... we'll be playing against the french team next week!! On eid!!!

...foot-loose....

We're giving the rented car back tomorrow. Having had it for a month, I sure will be missing it. The reason for the rented vehicle was the family was over. And there was no point to renting it for only a couple of weeks as it turned out to be more expensive. Now that they've left, actually a while back, the time has come.

Tell you something though, having the car all to myself was heaven!! I could go anywhere whenever I wanted. The only person really happy is of course none other than my husband. Having to drive a tiny puny car for the last month, he sure miss the Prado. The reason me telling you this is coz, I have to cut my hair. It's getting too long now for me. It's up to my arse!! And it's been an arse!! (",) But I don't know of any hairdresser to call mine. All these years, I've had them, my hair, done when I flew to Asia like Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila or Kuala Lumpur.

OMG!! Dave just rang. Talk bout coincidences. He just told me that a hairdresser's meeting with him tomorrow, business. And that perhaps I can go to her/his shop tomorrow!!!

Back to life...back to reality

Well then.....We're back in Sandland now after 6 wonderful days in paradise...it's kinda hard to adjust back to reality. Oh, the bad news is that I was sick the last 2 days there!! Dave says I probably got sunstroke??!! Yah sure!! It's not like I've not sun-tanned before in my life. Ok, sure, never naked in my 'own' pool. Still!!! I think it's all down to the simple ailment called 'influenza'!!

Yeah! The bloody beginning of it where all your bones ache!! Yup. Poor Dave though. Had to run up and down the suite so many times to get stuff for me!! Ah...so sweet!!

Now then I am feeling better. Back to life. Emails to follow up. Companies to bin!! OBGYN to meet!!

Oh well... back to reality!!

...what's the deal?....

My my, it's been a long time since I've posted anything. Too long, some might say. Rest assured that I'm not DEAD, which would be kinda wrong then since I'm here typing this!! No, no. Just been busy with my life. Which by the waym HAS MOVED ON!!

Let's see....

1. Oh! The wedding at home. That was a success!! Although, I came to find out that someone has been reading and following what I've written and was hurt with what I've wrote!! That certain someone told the family and so had decided NOT to turn up at my wedding. Although that certain some was very close to me. I was dissapointed at the fact that that certain someone really seriously has not got the balls to call me or email me to ask to clarify what I meant. Seriously. Or maybe...I wasn't special to that certain someone at all!! I'm so definitely sure that this certain someone will read this at some point. To this certain someone, the least you could have done or I was really expecting a nasty sms or call from you!! NOthing!! Whatever then huh?!! On the other hand, the whole celebration was sooo much fun!! All my family turned up!! My favourite ones stayed behind til late!! Thank you all!! Hey, all family's got politics huh??!!
2. Came back to sandland and finished the last month of flying!! Although there were some days where I can't be arsed to go, I just went sick!! haha. I have left my company now. The only thing left to do is to hand in my passport to cancel my work visa.
3. I had another celebration here in Dubai recently. For all my close friends here. That one was very personal and emotional for me. It was a beautiful event. Thanks to Dave Cattanach who allowed the whole ceremony to be held at The Cellar. Lots of tears from everyone there. Oh no!! NOt of sadness but of joy!! Then we headed down to out favourite hangout - Checkers!! Yeah!! Oh, I was naughty at one point. I forgot that I had a 4 year old child at that point and that I was wearing .....never mind!! What ever!! Those who came, thank you and I'm sure you had fun!! Those who didn't...well I suppose you're off my friends list!! hhmmm...where's the organiser!!!
4. In Maldives now. I know I know!!! Let it be ok? A secret! Got upgraded to the Presidental Suite!! Own pool!! 2 floors!! hhmm...can't get better!!

Ok ok...gotto go!! Dave's called me for some skinny dipping at oh yes our OWN BLOODY PRIVATE POOL....maybe to the jacuzzi too later?? hee hee....

I wanted to change some things round. Now that I am in Paris...I ditched the whole crew after promising to join them for a comp drink at the bar, I turned on my laptop to serve the internet which I get for free since I am the Cabin Manager. So I checked my mail. I went to my pickkies site and changed that. Went to my connections site. Tried to change that but couldn't, under maintainance. Will try again after this. And I thought I'd change my blog.

Off all colours....to plain black!!!

Actually the plan was to change it to some other cool backpage like the one I had before. But now that blogger has upgraded their version, I couldn't do what I had planned to do.

So here I am, in bed, still in my uniform blouse, full make-up and hair typing this darn thing.

At first I thought I lost all my blogs when I couldn't see what I used to write.

Silly me. I forgot that my fonts used to be BLACK!!! ddduuhhhh....

So now, I have to change them bloody colours... til I can't be arsed anymore.

After 3 weeks of holiday plus 2 days off plus 3 sick days...I am officially back to work.

Well well....it seems that my blog has insulted and hurt some family members who happened to stumble into the site. The result is that they didn't turn up even though they were pretty close to me and those who did were extremely rude to my parents who have nothing to do with all of these. To my defense all I'm gonna say is that what I wrote was how I felt before. I still don't understand why the 'affected' people have yet to ask me directly why I wrote what I wrote.

Aaahhhh!!!! Family politics!! Really fed up of them!! See, the whole problem I see is that the rumours are so blown up but no one is bothered enough to bring it up! Ok pardon me, not bothered is such a wrong word, hhhmmmm "don't know where to start and don't want to hurt anyone else any further" is more like it. Actually more for me. Don't know bout anyone else.

Well well.....the rumour is that the wedding is still on but everything is not done yet. The rumour is that I am troubling, causing alot of inconvenience to everyone else with the fact that since they have not received any news to help with my wedding do, they pressume that NOTHING has been done!!

Oh what small minds do people have!!

See, what I don't understand is that I am NOT living in south america/middle of the jungle in africa/ timbuktu not to have any form of communication like internet or perhaps the simple gadget call TELEPHONE to clarify!!!! My parents are not dead!! My parents are not deaf or dumb (no offense).

People! People! I am in contact at all times!! 24/7!!

Anyway, my dearest family this is the deal....

1. The wedding hall has been booked.
2. The wedding cards have been printed and will soon be distributed.
3. The dress shall be fitted tomorrow (yeah!!)
4. Oh, if you are worried, the wedding favours have also been done.
5. The cake has been ordered.
6. The flowers have been decided.
7. The flower girls are all ready...(if you are interested)

Basically, THE WEDDING IS ON AND EVERYTHING IS DONE!! All you need to do is

SHUT YOUR GOD-DAMN GOB AND BRING YOUR FAT-ARSE DOWN TO THE VENUE AND EAT! That's all.

So there. You can start all your leave taking and going through your wardrobe to see what fits yadda yadda yadda.....

Beyonce's Getting married!!!

Well then boyz.... it is my deepest sorrow to announce that Jay-Z has popped the question to Beyonce. Therefore, I now declare that, today will officially be a mourning day for most of the boys in the world!!
